Air conditioning

Cool in summer, warm in winter.

Reversible air conditioning cools your living rooms in summer and heats them in the shoulder season, with a single quiet unit. Ecolive sizes it room by room, fits it, services it and repairs it anywhere in Wallonia.

One unit, four uses

Cool, heat, clean the air: sized room by room.

Modern air conditioning does more than make cold air. In reversible mode it heats a room within minutes in the shoulder season, filters the air and removes humidity. The secret of a quiet, economical unit is the sizing: the right output for each room, no more and no less.

We calculate that output during the visit, from the floor area, the orientation, the glazing and the insulation, then we choose where the units go with you.

Cool in summer, warm in winter

A single reversible unit: cold during heatwaves, fast backup heating as soon as the cold sets in.

Room by room

Each indoor unit has its own setting: the living room at 24 °C, the bedroom at 20 °C, the office off when nobody is in it.

Filtered air, humidity under control

The filters hold back dust and pollen; the dehumidifying mode dries out the heavy air of summer evenings.

Paired with solar

Air conditioning runs mostly during the day, when your panels are producing: the cool air is made with your own electricity.

Understanding air conditioning

Single-split, multi-split or ducted: which one for your house?

Three ways of distributing cool air, depending on the number of rooms, the state of the house and what you want to see, or not see, on your walls.

Single-split

One outdoor unit, one wall-mounted indoor unit: the simplest answer for a single room, fitted in half a day.

Best for
A living room, a bedroom under the roof, an office.
Reversible
Yes, backup heating included.
Strength
Price and speed of fitting.

Multi-split

A single outdoor unit feeds two to five indoor units, each set independently.

Best for
Several living rooms and bedrooms, with only one unit outside.
Reversible
Yes, room by room.
Strength
A clean facade, comfort set room by room.

Ducted

The indoor unit is hidden in a false ceiling or in the loft; air is delivered through discreet vents in each room.

Best for
New build, major renovation, houses with an accessible loft.
Reversible
Yes, the whole house.
Strength
Invisible and very quiet.

What we do

From choosing the unit to servicing it, year after year.

Our refrigeration engineers advise, fit, commission, service and repair. One single contact, from the quote to the after-sales service.

Advice and installation

Visit, room-by-room output calculation, choice of unit type and position, careful fitting with trunked pipework and condensate drainage, commissioning and a walkthrough of the remote control.

Servicing

Cleaning filters and heat exchangers, checking the refrigerant circuit, the condensate drain and the settings: a service contract that keeps the unit quiet, clean and economical.

Repairs and breakdowns

A breakdown in the middle of a heatwave, a leak, an unusual noise: we diagnose and repair quickly, with parts suited to the unit we fitted.

Why Ecolive

What you gain by choosing our installations.

Quiet

Recent units at low speed at night, outdoor unit on anti-vibration mounts, away from bedrooms and neighbours.

Sized, not oversized

The right output per room: an oversized unit cycles constantly, uses more and cools badly.

Designed alongside solar

We fit both: air conditioning becomes the best consumer of your midday production.

Local after-sales service

Servicing and repairs by the team that fitted the unit, based in Dinant, across the whole of Wallonia.

Cool and economical

Cool air made by your roof.

Air conditioning draws power when it is hot and bright, exactly when your solar panels produce the most. Pairing the two means cooling the house with electricity you do not pay for. Ecolive fits both and sizes them together, in a single survey.

How it works

Air conditioning, in six steps.

  1. Visit and calculation

Floor area, orientation, glazing and insulation of each room: the right output, room by room.

  2. Choice of system

Single-split, multi-split or ducted, position of the indoor and outdoor units agreed with you.

  3. Quote

Detailed quote covering the unit, the fitting and the commissioning, financing if you want it.

  4. Fitting

Drilling, trunked refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage, outdoor unit on a bracket or a base.

  5. Commissioning

Vacuum, charge, hot and cold tests, settings and a walkthrough of the remote control.

  6. Servicing

Service contract, filters and circuit checked, repairs by the team that fitted the unit.

Frequently asked questions

Air conditioning: what people ask before going ahead.

Can air conditioning also heat?

Yes. The units we fit are reversible: they cool in summer and heat in winter, far more efficiently than an electric radiator. To heat a whole house, we compare this with an air-to-water heat pump.

Single-split, multi-split or ducted: how do I choose?

One room: single-split. Several rooms: multi-split, one outdoor unit serving two to five indoor units. New build or major works: ducted, invisible, delivered through discreet vents in the ceilings. We decide together during the visit.

Is air conditioning noisy?

Recent indoor units are very quiet at low speed. The outdoor unit goes away from bedrooms and neighbours, on anti-vibration mounts. We agree the position with you before fitting.

How much electricity does air conditioning use?

A properly sized unit uses little: it moves heat rather than producing it. Paired with your solar panels, it runs during the day on your own electricity, exactly when production is highest.

Does air conditioning need servicing?

Yes: cleaning the filters, checking the refrigerant circuit and the condensate drain. Ecolive offers a service contract and repairs the systems it has fitted.
